Biography

Regarded for her high quality performance and versatility, Catherine Conlin (she/her/hers) maintains an active career as a woodwind doubler across the United States. Originally from Cleveland, Ohio, Catherine is a founding member of Friends in Low Places Quartet, Two Clarinets Walk Into a Bar, and formerly All-Star Winds and 6 King Brass. She most recently performed the world premiere of “Synergy” by Brian Raphael Nabors at the International Double Reed Society Conference in Flagstaff, Arizona and the International Clarinet Association’s ClarinetFest 2024 in Dublin, Ireland. Catherine received a Bachelor of Music in Clarinet Performance from Cleveland State University, a Master of Music in Clarinet Performance from University of North Texas, and is completing a Doctorate of Music Arts in Multiple Woodwind Performance from University of North Texas. She can be heard on UNT Wind Symphony albums “Taylor Made”, “Noteworthy”, “Hope”, “Closure”, “Respair”, and Below Jupiter’s album “Sonorous Dithyrambs”. Catherine is a member of the International Clarinet Association and the American Federation of Musicians.
