HOW TO SET UP YOUR EMAIL ACCOUNT
USAO uses Microsoft Office 365 for email services, and OneLogin for SSO (Single Sign-On) services. Follow the steps below to set up and access your email.
Please note your access will be granted to OneLogin once you have been admitted to USAO.
To reset your password, please follow the instructions below:
- Your personal email address has been set as the recovery email address for your USAO student email account.
- Please visit the USAO OneLogin website (https://usao.onelogin.com) and click on the "Forgot Password" link.
- Please enter your USAO email address in the box, and that will send you a password reset link to your personal email address (NOTE: look for an email from noreply@onelogin.com).
- Please make sure to check the junk/spam folder in your personal email account in case you don't see the reset link email from OneLogin in your Inbox.
Once you've reset your OneLogin password, please go to:
- Email: https://outlook.office.com to log in your USAO student email account
- Canvas: https://canvas.usao.edu to log in to your Canvas account (NOTE: access to Canvas may not be available until your classes start)
- Self Service: https://selfservice.usao.edu/Student to log in to your Self Service account
NOTE: The password will be the one you just set up on the OneLogin website.
Password must:
- Be at least twelve characters in length
- Be updated at least once a year
- Contain characters from three of the following four categories:
- Uppercase letters (A through Z)
- Lowercase letters (a through z)
- Numbers (0 through 9)
- Special characters (for example, !, $, #, %)
- Not contain your username
- Not contain more than two consecutive letters from your full name
- Not contain whole/proper words
- Not be a previously-used password
