RELEASE OF STUDENT INFORMATION
The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) is a Federal law enacted in 1974 that affords students certain rights concerning their student educational records. The law applies to all schools that receive funds under an applicable program of the U.S. Department of Education. USAO complies with guidelines of the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974.
You can grant access to your education records utilizing the Student Records Release within the USAO Self Service system under User Options menu.
IMMUNIZATIONS
Oklahoma Statutes, Title 70 sec. 3244 requires that all students who enroll as a full-time or part-time student in an Oklahoma public or private postsecondary institution provide documentation of vaccinations against Hepatitis B (three doses) and measles, mumps and rubella (MMR - two doses).
Students with specific medical contraindications to any or all immunizations may be allowed to attend if the medical reason is stated and this statement is signed by a licensed physician and submitted to the University of Science & Arts of Oklahoma. Students who have objections to immunizations based on religious teachings or personal beliefs can also apply for an exemption.
Copies of immunization records and any Certificate of Exemption must be on file with the University of Science & Arts of Oklahoma and available for review.

We are so happy to welcome new students to their home at USAO. As we approach move-in and orientation, we will be sending emails to your university email account with important information, so be sure to keep an eye out!
