Biography
Ms. Kassy Hanson is an Instructor of Kinesiology at the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma (USAO). She previously served as an adjunct instructor at the University of Central Oklahoma, where she taught Healthy Life Skills. Prior to her work in higher education, Ms. Hanson practiced as a Physical Therapy Assistant in home health care and worked as an Athletic Trainer at sporting events.
Her teaching focuses on preparing future physical education teachers and health care professionals with the skills and knowledge necessary to excel in their careers. She is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Health Sciences with a concentration in the fundamentals of education. Her academic interests include health care law and ethics, the role of health professionals in health promotion, population health, and patient-centered care. She integrates these areas of study with her clinical experience to provide students with a strong foundation for professional practice.
Outside the classroom, Ms. Hanson enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and two mini schnauzers.
