The annual Deaf Education conference held at the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma is set to take place from June 1st – June 4th, 2026. This year’s conference, titled “Pathways to Possibilities”, offers a comprehensive program designed to advance American Sign Language literacy, educational strategies, and community engagement.

The four-day event features a lineup of workshops and activities led by a diverse group of prominent educators and experts in the field. This year’s presenters include Bree Logan, Antwan Campbell, Dr. Jasmine Simmons, Ashley Euwins, Kristin DiPerri, Anne Byrd, Calista Heard, Kimberly Ofori-Sanzo, Su Kyong Isakson, Heidi MacGlaughlin, and Kaycee Bennett.

In addition to his scheduled session, titled “Creativity in ASL”, a highlight of the conference will be a special performance on June 3rd by Peter Cook, internationally acclaimed ‘Deaf Poet Extraordinaire’. Cook’s work, which blends ASL, pantomime, and storytelling, has been featured at the Kennedy Center, Washington D.C.’s National Book Festival, and many other festivals worldwide.

In addition to the professional development workshops, the “Pathways to Possibilities” conference will feature various interactive activities and social events, including dedicated ASL workshops and community game nights designed to foster networking and collaboration among attendees.
