Get Ready For Wrecords Music Festival 2026
Art Wrecker Studios and Intellego Media are getting ready to host the 2026 Wrecords Music Festival, drawing musicians and music enthusiasts from across the region to celebrate local talent and experimental sound.
“There are countless video competitions these days, so my partner, Jordan Vinyard, and I thought, ‘why not create one for musicians?’ That's how Wrecords Music Festival was born.”
Said Reagan Elkins, founder of Intellego Media. “Last year was our inaugural festival, and we were blown away by the response. Musicians from all across Oklahoma submitted original songs and traveled to the awards show to celebrate together. Friendships were formed, unforgettable memories were made, and, most importantly, Oklahoma musicians were given a platform to share their creativity while earning money for their hard work.”
The event will kick off July 17th, at 11:59 p.m., and competitors will have 24 hours to create an original composition based off of a randomly assigned genre and lyric, given moments before the start of the competition.
A panel of judges evaluate the contestants based on genre, originality, technical execution, and overall sound. Cash prizes will be awarded to the top three competitors, along with a music video opportunity for the first-place winner.
“At its core, Wrecords is all about the artists. We provide local musicians with a platform to perform, connect with new audiences, and gain access to resources that can have a lasting impact on their careers.” Said Jordan Vinyard, Director of Art Wrecker and Professor of Art at the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma. “At the same time, the festival demonstrates how the arts contribute to economic development in Oklahoma communities. By attracting audiences, fostering cultural experiences, and connecting community with our state's vibrant music scene, Wrecords strengthens both local economies and creative networks.
Our goal is to build a thriving ecosystem where artists, businesses, and communities all benefit – creating opportunities that extend far beyond the stage and helping position Oklahoma as a place where creative talent can flourish.”
On July 25th, beginning 6 p.m. at Legends Pub House, competitors, music enjoyers, and curious community members alike can attend the awards ceremony where the top three winners of the competition will be announced. Attendees of the ceremony can expect live music from a variety of independent artists, entertaining behind the scenes clips from the songwriting process, and the food, drink, and atmosphere of Legends Pub House.
